Eleanor Ehrlich"I think I have whipped cream flowing through my veins," says Eleanor Ehrlich, the daughter of Viennese and French parents, "so baking always came naturally to me."
Cake styling and decorating is a second career for Eleanor. After completing cooking school and studying with some of the best stylists in New York, she inaugurated specialoccasioncakes.com, which is now a burgeoning business.
Eleanor's cakes have been showcased in trade publications for cake decorators, and have been seen on Good Morning America. Her cakes have highlighted events at such venues as the Puck Building and F.A.O. Schwarz, and she provides her pastry works of art to caterers and event planners throughout the New York metropolitan area.
From an exact replica of the Taj Mahal for an Indian wedding to an 12-tier stuffed animal for a special birthday, her cakes are unique creations custom-baked and styled to meet the client's desires.
Every cake, says Eleanor,
is a joy and a challenge because each project is totally different. "You can let your creativity soar with the cake design, but best of all, you're providing a delicious and memorable showstopper for each occasion."
